On March 8th, 2023, Relifoods entered into a contract to implement a rooftop solar power project with GreenYellow - a multinational corporation with expertise in constructing renewable energy projects based on international standards. This contract marks the starting point for our journey in converting to green energy. The 1st phase of the project will involve installing a solar power system with a capacity of up to 574 kWp, which is expected to be operational by May 2023. Looking ahead, Relifoods plans to double the rooftop area dedicated to solar power in the 2nd phase of the project. This expansion will bring the system’s installed capacity to 1 MWp, immediately following the completion of the first phase.

Along with striving to regenerate 1 MWp, Relifoods has set its goal to achieve a Renewable Energy Certificate (I-REC), a credential that attests to the origin of the electricity Relifoods consumes and its adherence to international standards, by reducing carbon emission and ensuring its production processes align with environmentally sound practices. Thereby, we commit to using green, clean energy in our production processes and creating high-quality, environmentally friendly products, while promoting environmental protection awareness and improving the quality of life for our customers and the broader community.
