Coconut is one of the 9 main industrial crops in Vietnam. Trà Vinh is the province with the second largest coconut area in the country with over 25,000ha of coconut plantations. However, the current situation of climate change and saltwater intrusion is happening strongly, many coconut areas are flooded over 15 parts per thousand, affecting the productivity of coconut fruits in the Mekong Delta.
