(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Khánh Hòa province is currently leading the way in implementing Electric Catch Documentation and Traceability System (eCDTs).
The head of Hon Ro Port Management Board said that the office has installed a kiosk tablet equipped with eCDT software to both guide fishermen on how to use it and assist those who do not use smartphones to access and carry out import/export procedures at the seaport.
Currently, not only Hon Ro Port but also representative offices of fisheries inspection and control at ports such as Da Bac, Vinh Luong, and Dai Lanh have also installed a kiosk tablet for fishermen to directly perform procedures.
To date, the authorities have completed the prescribed procedures through this software for 3,289 vessel departures, 2,894 vessel arrivals. They have issued 762 receipts for loading and unloading seafood through ports, 67 catch statements, and 2 catch certificates of captured seafood on the eCDT system.
In addition, 197 accounts have been registered on the eCDT system for government agencies, enterprises, seafood purchasing and processing establishments; and guidance on installing the eCDT application has been provided to hundreds of ship owners in the province.
In the future, Khánh Hòa province will implement 100% of all activities related to confirming the departure and arrival of fishing vessels; controlling and statistically analyzing catch output through fishing ports; issuing receipts for loading and unloading seafood through ports; issuing catch statement and catch certificates of captured seafood raw materials on the eCDT system.
