(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Vinh Hoan Corp is currently the largest exporter of Vietnamese pangasius fillet to the US, with a market share significantly higher than other listed companies.

Vietnam pangasius exports to the US in August 2024 reached nearly 35 millions USD, the highest level since the beginning of the year and a 15-fold increase compared to same period last year.

In the first eight months of the year, Vietnam pangasius exports to the US reached 226 million USD, growing 23% year-over-year, accounting for 19% of the Vietnam's total pangasius export value to all markets.

Of this, at 32 million USD, frozen pangasius fillet continued to be the main product, accounting for 96% of the total pangasius exported to the US. Generally, in the past eight months, the total value of pangasius fillet exports to the US exceeded $217 million, up 20% year-on-year.

Notably, Vinh Hoan Corp is currently the largest Vietnamese exporter of frozen pangasius fillet to the US, accounting for 47% of the market share. This is significantly higher than other listed companies such as Cafatex Corporation (CAFATEX), which accounts for 6% and Navico Corporation (NAVICO), at 4%.

The US market currently comprises 57% of Vinh Hoan Corp's total revenue. Compared to other major pangasius export markets of Vietnam such as China and the EU, the US market is assessed to be recovering more strongly with both selling prices and consumption demand increasing significantly.

In terms of selling prices, thanks to the market gradually entering the holiday season and the stable growth of the US economy, the export price of pangasius from Vinh Hoan Corp to the US increased by 5% in the third quarter of 2024.
