Description
Soursop is a fruit mainly grown in the southern provinces and the Central Highlands. This is even considered a specialty, is loved by many foreign tourists, and is chosen as a gift. However, not everyone knows the benefits of soursop and of consuming soursop every day.
Soursop has the scientific name of Annona muricata under the Annonaceae family. This is a fruit plant. Soursop tree is a plant with trunk, 6-8 meters high, is a perennial plant with alternate leaves of oval shape and yellow flowers. The fruit of soursop is egg-shaped, juicy, and has many spikes outside. The flesh inside is white, fragrant, sweet and sour.
Inside there are dark brown seeds; the flesh very nutritious and is either consumed directly or prepared into various food stuffs.
